TSC Camps

Our cadet Cpl. Pushpavalli D (III – IT) had attended 9 camps of about 82 Days and reached Pre Delhi.

RDC Camps

Our cadet Cpl. Syed Abuthakir S (III – IT) had attended 6 camps of about 52 Days and reached Pre Directorate.
Our cadet L/Cpl. Mageswaran S (III – CSE) has attended 3 camps of about 28 Days and Reached Group Level.

ACTIVITIES

Academic year 2022-2023:

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ministry of Culture initiated ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ hoisting National flag in all houses from 13-08-2022 to 15-08-2022. 15 cadets participated in this event.
Guard of Honour was given by our NCC cadets on Graduation day (22/10/2022) – which is received by Thiru. M. Appavu,M.L.A. our Honorable speaker of Tamil Nadu state legislative assembly . Guard commander was L/Cpl. Mageswaran.
Enrollment of cadets for the year 2022-2023 was done by our Retired Subedar Major Ravi.A (ESM) & ANO on 26-11-2022. Twenty seven cadets (20 SD & 7 SW) were newly enrolled in our NCC Company. Cadets were selected after conducting physical and written tests.
Our college ANO had undergone the pre commissioned course for three months at Officer Training Academy Kamptee and Commissioned as Rank Lieutenant on 25th Oct 2022.
Parade – All the parades were conducted effectively by Retired Subedar Major Ravi.A (ESM) & Ms. Bindhu S (GCA) under the supervision of Company Commander Lt. Abhilash VM (ANO) Company Commander as per the schedule.

Camps attended

1. ATC – NICHE, Kumaracoil [13th July 2022 to 22nd July 2022 (10 days)] - 6 Cadets ( 6 SD).
2. ATC – NTA Idayapathi, Madurai [17th Sep 2022 to 24th Sep 2022 (8 days)] - 12 Cadets ( 5 SW & 7 SD).
3. ATC – NTA Idayapathi, Madurai [17th Nov 2022 to 24th Nov 2022 (8 days)]- 2 Cadets & 1 ANO (1 SD , 1 SW & 1 ANO). Our ANO was appointed in Purchase committee in this camp.

Awareness program, Campaign & Social Service:

75th Independence Day (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahots): was celebrated in a grand way with 5 events – (from 5/08/2022 to 15/08/2022). Celebrated with Govt.High School- vellamadam, Tree plantation – NCC & NSS planed sapling of about 25 in our campus & Flag distribution.
Unity Run (31/10/2022) – to celebrate the National Unity Day on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Idea behind this run is to make people aware about strength of staying together. Our NCC cadets participated in this and ran up to 5 Kms and made promise to stay fit.
G20- Awareness program at our LITES Seminar Hall, college on 28/02/2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. Total of 30 cadets attended the section.
Elimination of single use Plastic Plastic Awareness rally from LITES to Govt. Primary Health Center, Marungoor (2.5 Kms), inaugurated by Dr. M.T.Nicholas,M.S.,Ph.D., in the presence of Mr. N. Thanumalaya Perumal Pillai, Health Inspector, Govt. PHC Marungoor. The rally ended in the presence of Dr. D. Bobby Thaya, Senior civil Asst.Surgeon, Govt PHC Marungoor. Total strength of cadets participated 30 & 1ANO & 1 GCA.

Academic year 2021-2022:

NCC Raising order was issued to our institution on 25th Feb.2021 with the strength of 80 SD / SW under Fully Self Finance Scheme
In the year 2021 our NCC Company No: 202/21 is an Army Wing attached to 11(TN) BN NCC, Nagercoil was raised in the presence of Lt.Col.V.V.Prasad Administrative Officer of 11(TN) BN NCC. Its maximum allotted strength is 80 (3 years). At present it is functioning with 54 cadets and 1 ANO.
Enrollment of cadets for the year 2021-2022 was done by Subedar Major Ravi.A (ESM) on 20-10-2021. Twenty seven cadets (18 SD & 9 SW) were newly enrolled in our NCC Company. Cadets were selected after conducting physical and written tests. Our LITES Chairman Dr. M.T. Nicholas., M.S.,PhD., inaugurated this event.
National Youth Festival was conducted by Telungana on 25th Nov 2021 by online mode. 11 cadets and 1 NCC Caretaker had participated and received online certificate.
AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV on 27th Jan.2022 two cadets participated in Rangoli making & Deshbhakti Geet Writing and received the online certificate.
73rd Republic day was celebrated within our campus. Our NCC cadets organized & participated in this Republic day program. Our Principal Dr. J.D. DARWIN, M.E.,Ph.D., Chief guest of the day hoisted the National Flag. Three saplings were planted to this mother earth in behalf of this 73rd republic day event
NCC Annual Day was celebrated in LITES on () our chief guest of the day was Lt.Col.M.Ansar (AO) of 11 (TN) BN NCC, Nagercoil. He motivated our cadets and explained the importance of NCC. Best Cadet Awards & Good cadet Award was issued for the achieved cadets

Camps attended

ATC at Noorul Islam Center for Higher Education, Kumaracoil [11th May to 20th May.2022 ( 10 days)]. – 7 cadets (SD-5 & SW-2).

Awareness program, Campaign & Social Service :

SACL Program:29 Students from ECE IV and 24 NCC cadets visited CSI school for blind at Irenipuram on 30th Mar.2022 and provide lunch. Moto of our visit is to make the cadets understand the social responsibility of eye donation and spread the awareness about it.
