& Engineering, Marthandam. A theoretical background of WSN, Security Threats , Issue,
attacks and its avoidance were given. It laid the groundwork for the students regarding
the significant topics in today’s world
Expert Talk – Image Processing with Python
Dr.V.Antony Asir Daniel, Associate Professor of Electronics Communication & Engineering,
Fx. Engineering College, Vannarapettai, Tirunelveli. Explained about classical image
processing that can be done using Morphological filtering, Gaussian filter, Fourier
transform and Wavelet transform. Various image processing libraries like OpenCV,
Mahotas, PIL, scikit-learn and popular neural networks like CNN and GANs that are used
for computer vision also discussed. Deep learning is changing the world with its
broadway terminologies and advances in the field of image processing.

The department of Computer Science & Engineering, conducted a one day workshop on “
Cyber Security Attacks,Threats & Prevention” by Dr.R.Ravi Fx.Engineering College,
Vannarapettai, Tirunelveli. A theoretical background of cyber security, such as cyber
attacks and its prevention were given. It laid the foundation for the students regarding
the relevant topics in today’s world.
