Social Awareness Club of Loyola(SACL)
“Love is not patronizing and charity is not about pity, it is about love. Charity and Love are the same, with charity you give love, so don’t just give money but reach out your hand instead. We can do no great things, only small things with great Love” -Mother Teresa
Helping other people is an act most of us perform without even thinking about it. For centuries neighbours have helped other neighbours, families have helped other family members and internationally, governments have given other countries.
But there is a group of people who are unnoticed, striving hard even for one time food. Old age people who are not cared for by their children and longing for care. There is another group of people who born with some physical deficiencies and abandoned by their parents . Fortunately we have good hearted people who established care home for such people. In Kanya Kumari district there are a good number of such homes doing holistic services.
On the other hand, the students’ community nowadays are not exposed to such scenario, and with an aim of making our students to get actively participate in the holistic act of charity, Social Awareness Club of Loyola(SACL) is formed. An organization set up (like cultural activities) is also formed to register, to arrange, to escort, guide and monitor the activities of this Club with the C Chairman LITES as the patron of SACL and the Principal of LITES would be the secretary.
