The inauguration of the Science and Humanities association (SAHA) of LITES was held on 18.11.2009 at 3.P.M in the Meditation Hall under the President ship of its founder – Principal DR.M.T.Nicholas. Bible reading and invocation prayer were done respectively by 1st year students Mr.Sibu Thomas and Ms.Kasthuri. The Chief Guest Dr.Joseph Dunston, Principal of St.John’s College of Arts and Science inaugurated the association by lighting the Kuthuvilakku. 1st year student Amrita welcomed the gathering DR.M.T.Nicholas in his presidential address encouraged the students to conduct the association meetings once in a month by inviting renowned personalities in different walks of life and assured all support from the Management.

Subsequently 1st year students Mr.Premnath as Secretary and Mr.Siva as Joint Secretary were inducted as office bearers of SAHA for the year 2009-10, with the administration of oath of office. The 2nd year student Lydia read the annual report for 2008 – ’09. Prof.C.Bala Singh introduced the Chief Guest Dr.Joseph Dunston to the gathering. Dr.Dunston exhorted the students to create a “Saga” through “SAHA” of LITES. He said by giving at most importance to every thought of nano dimension, greater things can be achieved in life. Prof.Amala Basil presented a memento to the Chief Guest. I year student Mr.Ebi Jason proposed the vote of thanks. All arrangements were meticulously done under the supervision of 1st year H.O.D. Prof. Santhi Wilson. The meeting came to an end with the singing of National Anthem
