Red Ribbon Club, Inauguration
Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by Govt. of India in schools and colleges through which students will be made aware of AIDS. To the benefit of our students Red Ribbon Club was inaugurated on 19.12.2009 in Loyola Institute of Technology and Science.
The Principal inaugurated the RRC club. In connection with this event, one day workshop on AIDS awareness was conducted. Mr. Baskar, (RRC District Manager, Tuticorin) presided over the function and conducted a seminar on AIDS awareness. More than 250 students attended the programme and participated in the function.
In the afternoon session queries from the students were answered by, Mrs. Kartika, President Transgender Association, Kanya Kumari District and Mrs. Tamilarasi, Member, Positive Network. Mr.Senthil Kumar, RRC Program Officer, Loyola Institute of Technology and Science, made necessary arrangements for this event.
